Ingredients

  • 1 bunch asparagus woody ends trimmed

  • lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  • Add the trimmed asparagus to a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, and toss with tongs to evenly coat. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
1 bunch asparagus, extra virgin olive oil, salt & pepper
  • Transfer the asparagus to the basket of an air fryer in a single layer.
  • Air fry at 370° for 6-8 minutes, flipping the asparagus at the halfway mark, or until the stalks are tender and the ends are a bit crispy.
  • Transfer the roasted asparagus to a serving plate or platter. Squeeze lemon juice evenly out overtop, and serve
    lemon wedges

Notes

  • Smaller, thinner young asparagus will cook more quickly and also be more tender. Thicker asparagus stalks tend to be tougher and take longer to fry.
  • When the asparagus is done, the stalks should be tender and the ends should be crispy and golden.
  • Fancy it up with a garnish of nuts, shredded parmesan, and/or fresh herbs.
