- 16 hotdogs sliced into 1/2" coins
- 2 15 oz cans chili with, or without, beans
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- pinch red pepper flakes
- 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 28 oz pkg frozen tater tots
Liberally spray a 9x13" baking dish with non stick spray. Set aside.
To a mixing bowl add the sliced hot dogs, canned chili, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire, and red pepper flakes. Stir to evenly combine.
Transfer the hot dog chili mixture to the prepared baking dish, and use a spatula to spread it out into an even layer.
Spread the cheese out evenly over the casserole, then top with the tater tots.
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes, or until the tater tots are crisp & the casserole's bubbling.
- If you use chili without beans, your filling will be on the thinner side. It will still taste good, it will just appear soupier when served.
- Do not press the tots down into the casserole, you want them resting on top of the cheese layer in a single layer. This will ensure maximum crispness.
- I love toppings. Let's put toppings on all the things! We top this with thinly sliced green onion and a dash of hot sauce. Feel free to use toppings of your preference.
