Seafood salad is a creamy sandwich filling or spread for crackers that you will love. This easy recipe comes together fast for the perfect summer lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 8 oz pouch flake style immitation crab
  • 1 8 oz pouch chunk style immitation crab
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 3/4-1 cup mayo
  • pinch red pepper flakes
  • smoked paprika for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • Add the chunk crab to a mixing bowl, breaking apart as needed. Shred the flaked crab with a fork and add that to the mixing bowl too. Mix the two together to evenly combine.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients to the mixing bowl, and stir together until the salad's evenly combined.
  • Serve immediately, or cover and chill for 1-2 hours.
  • Garnish with a sprinkle of smoked parika, if desired.

Notes

  • Judge the creaminess for yourself- if it's not creamy enough, you can add more mayo.
  • Turn this into a creamy mixed seafood salad by adding some chopped lobster or shrimp.
  • If you'd prefer a more indulgent taste, spring for real crab meat.
  • If you really want to kick it up a notch, give it a Cajun spin by stirring in some Cajun or Creole seasoning.
  • To brighten it a touch, add a little squeeze of lemon just before serving.
