Quick & Easy Brown Sugar Glazed Canned Carrots

- 4 15 oz cans sliced carrots well drained
- 6 tbsp salted butter
- 1/3 packed cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon optional
Set a large skillet over medium heat.
Add both the butter, sugar, and cinnamon (if using) to the skillet, whisking together as it melts until evenly combined. Heat just until the mixture's begun to bubble.
Pour all of the (well drained) carrots into the skillet, gently tossing to coat.
Continue cooking for 5 minutes, stirring often, until the sauce has thickened nicely & is coating the vegetables.
Serve & enjoy!
- You can transfer this mixture to an oven safe dish and top with marshmallows then broil until melted and toasted for a simple but excellent side dish style casserole.
- Don't like sweet sides? Skip the sugar and cinnamon, and instead season with savory herbs, like garlic and onion powder.
- Canned carrots are already tender, do not over stir/handle or you may accidentally mush them.
- If making for the holidays, add a splash of orange juice to the sauce to really take it up a notch.
