Ingredients

  • 1 16.3 oz can Pillsbury Grands biscuits 8 count
  • Oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Honey for serving, optional

Instructions

  • Preheat 2” oil in a heavy bottomed pot over medium heat until it reaches 350 F
  • Meanwhile, cut each biscuit into 4 even pieces, then pinch together and roll into spheres
  • Working in batches, drop into oil and allow to cook until golden brown
  • Use a skimmer to gently remove and place on a paper towel to drain
  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar immediately
  • Serve with honey if desired

Notes

  • Use a deep fry thermometer so you'll know when the oil is the right temperature.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan or the beignets won't cook properly.
  • It helps the powdered sugar stick if you dust the beignets while they are still warm.
