Ingredients Needed
This recipe uses easy to find, shelf stable ingredients.
To make it you’ll need:
- Cereal – The peanut butter flavored base in this comes from a blend of peanut butter captain crunch and peanut butter chex cereal. The jelly base flavor comes from very berry cheerio cereal.
- Peanuts – roasted, shelled peanuts, preferably unsalted
- Candy – Reese’s pieces, specifically.
- Fruit – Lightly crumbled pieces of dehydrated strawberries round out the jelly flavor.
Once you’ve gathered all your ingredients, you’re ready to mix it all up into peanut butter and jelly trail mix.
How To Make
Making this snack mix is seriously super easy- like under 5 minutes easy.
Simply add all of the measured ingredients to a large mixing bowl.
Give everything a stir until it’s all combined and evenly incorporated.
That’s it- you’re ready to dig on into your peanut butter and jelly flavored snack mix.
Storing
This makes a lot of trail mix so I recommend portioning it out into ziplocking bags so you have it ready to grab and go.
It will stay good on the counter in a zip locking bag for up 2 weeks.
