One thing I miss out on as the mom of all boys is the unicorn craze.

Fortunately, I have a precious goddaughter who is very into all things girly, sparkly, and unicorn-y.

So this treat is right up her alley and I love to make it when I know I’ll be seeing her.

What is unicorn munch?

Unicorn munch popcorn mix is a colorful snack mix.

The base of it is white popcorn.

Melted white candy melts coat the popcorn and then the popcorn gets tossed with rainbow candy corn, unicorn sprinkles, and a purple drizzle.

The result is a magical mix!

Ingredients

To make this you’ll need:

  • Popcorn– White popcorn cooked according to the package instructions
  • Candy melts– Both white chocolate and purple
  • Candy corn– The funfetti kind
  • Sprinkles– Can you even make a unicorn themed snack without sprinkles? Go for unicorn sprinkles if you can or another mix that gives off unicorn vibes.

How to Make

Making unicorn munch popcorn mix is magically easy!

Just spread the popped popcorn into an even layer on a rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Then melt 1 1/2 cups of the white chocolate melting wafers in a microwave safe bowl, following the package directions, until smooth and creamy.

Scoop the melted chocolate to a large ziplocking bag, twisting to close.

Then snip off a small bit of the corner of the bag and drizzle the melted white chocolate evenly out over the popcorn until it’s all used up.

Working quickly spread the candy corn evenly out over the top, and the unicorn themed sprinkles.

Add both the remaining white chocolate melts and purple melts to a microwave safe bowl, and then melt them according to the package instructions.

Stir them together until evenly combined so you get a pretty pastel purple.

Scoop the purple chocolate into a large ziplocking bag just like you did with the white chocolate before.

Twist the bag to close, snip off a tiny corner of it, and drizzle it evenly out over the sprinkled popcorn mixture.

Let the popcorn rest until the chocolate has set, then break apart and serve!

Tips and Tricks

  • Make sure to use WHITE popcorn. Other popcorn is yellow and will skew the overall effect. You can find it in the grocery store or online.
  • Use however much popcorn it takes to fill your baking sheet in an even layer. This may change depending on the size of your baking sheet.
  • Line your baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
