Thanksgiving leftover sliders turn your extra turkey and fixings into delicious cheesy sandwiches on buttery brioche buns. This easy sandwich will make eating your leftovers fun, yummy, and easy.
Listen, if there’s one thing I hate, it’s wasting food.
I will not let a leftover go uneaten in this house.
That goes double if it’s a Thanksgiving leftover.
Why would I cook for a day (or two) and not make sure everyone eats up every last morsel?
But of course, I’m done from all the Thanksgiving prep so I want things that are quick and easy.
Like these Thanksgiving leftover sliders.
There’s virtually no work and you and your family will be enjoying warm, cheesy sliders with all those tasty turkey leftovers.
Ingredients
To make these you’ll need:
- Slider buns– Brioche slider buns preferably but sweet slider rolls also work.
- Leftovers– Leftover mashed potatoes, turkey, stuffing, green beans, and cranberry sauce
- Cheese– Havarti cheese slices cut in half
- Butter– Melted
How to Make
To make these, start by cutting your slider buns evenly in half down the middle, creating a top half and a bottom half.
Place both the slider bun halves on a baking sheet, side by side, both facing cut end up.
Then spread a small amount of warmed mashed potatoes out in an even, thin layer over the bottom half of the buns.
Top the mashed potato layer with a layer of turkey slices, followed by a layer of stuffing and a layer of green beans evenly out over top.
Add the sliced cheese to evenly cover all the sliders.
Then brush all the inside of the top layer of buns with melted butter using a silicone baking brush.
Bake the sliders at 350° for 10 minutes, just until heated through and the cheese has melted.
Drizzle with warm cranberry sauce.
Add the tops to cover, then slice into individual sliders and serve warm.
Add toothpicks, if desired, to keep the sliders together.
Serve with warm gravy on the side for dipping!
Enjoy!
Storing leftovers
I rarely recommend storing sandwich leftovers.
Sandwiches get soggy in the fridge so only make what you think you and your family will eat.
Tips and Tricks
- Warm the mashed potatoes before using to make spreading easier.
- Don’t have green beans but have green bean casserole? Use that instead of green beans!
- You could also pile on other leftovers too like leftover corn.
- Can’t find sliced havarti? You can use sliced Swiss or even provolone instead.
