What is dirty soda?

Don’t worry!

Dirty soda is not actually dirty!

It is just a name for soda with flavoring and half and half.

The original dirty soda recipe called for Diet Coke over ice with a shot of coconut syrup, lime juice, and half and half.

My version is a variation Dr. Pepper fans will love!

Ingredients

To make this you’ll need:

  • Soda– I’m using Dr. Pepper. You could use Diet Dr. Pepper or another soda if you prefer.
  • Creamer– Italian sweet cream coffee creamer.
  • Cherry juice– The kind from a jar of maraschino cherries (aka ice cream sundae cherries).

How to Make

It’s so easy to make this dirty soda recipe!

To do it, just fill a glass about 3/4 of the way with ice.

Slowly pour the soda over the ice.

Then pour in the creamer followed by the cherry juice.

Enjoy!

Storing Leftovers

I don’t recommend storing leftovers or making this ahead of time.

The soda will get flat as it sits after you open it and the ice will make the drinks watery as they melt.

Tips and Tricks

  • The recipe as written makes one dirty soda, but you can easily double, triple it, or more to serve a group.
  • Be sure to pour the soda over the ice slowly to prevent it from fizzing up and over the glass.
  • Serve with a maraschino cherry on top for a fancier presentation.
