Ingredients
You only need a few ingredients to make this no churn ice cream. To make it you’ll need:
- Heavy cream– Do not substitute this for lower fat dairy.
- Sweetened condensed milk– I like to pop it in the fridge prior to making this to keep my ingredients nice and cold.
- Vanilla extract– Use the real kind and not imitation.
- Chocolate chip cookie dough– You can find safe to eat cookie dough right in the refrigerated case at the grocery store. It’s normally egg free and the flour has been treated.
- Chocolate chips– Mini chips work best.
How to Make
The beauty of no churn ice cream is that it is so easy to make and doesn’t require a special ice cream maker.
To make it, add the cream to a large mixing bowl and whip it with a hand mixer until stiff peaks form.
Then whisk in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract.
Once you’ve whisked in the vanilla and sweetened condensed milk, make 15- 20 small balls from the edible cookie dough.
Stir this and half of the chocolate chips into the cream mixture.
Transfer the mixture to a 9×5″ loaf pan.
Then make more balls out o the cookie dough and sprinkle them on top of the loaf pan along with the remaining chocolate chips.
Freeze for 6 to 8 hours or overnight.
Scoop and enjoy!
How to Store No Churn Ice Cream
The best way to store it is in a wide container.
You can either keep it in the metal loaf pan, covered tightly, or transfer it to a container made of freezer safe plastic.
How long will no churn ice cream last?
You can keep this in a sealed container for months in the freezer.
