And now you can enjoy this copycat Olive Garden salad recipe right at home and spare your wallet some pain.

It tastes exactly like the salad at Olive Garden.

And for an authentic Olive Garden experience right at home, you could even serve this with breadsticks and your favorite Olive Garden soup recipe.

Ingredients

To make this you’ll need:

  • Chopped iceberg lettuce– You could also use a blend of iceberg and romaine
  • Roma tomatoes– Thinly sliced. Don’t substitute another variety because the texture and water content in tomatoes varies so much between kinds.
  • Red onion– Thinly sliced
  • Pepperoncini peppers– Whole for the most restaurant-like experience, though you could use sliced pepperoncini if that’s what you have.
  • Black olives– Whole black olive are most like the restaurant but you can use sliced black olives if you prefer
  • Croutons– You can buy Olive Garden croutons in most grocery stores but you can use any kind you like.
  • Olive Garden salad dressing– You can use this copycat Olive Garden salad dressing
  • Parmesan cheese– Freshly grated if possible

How to Make

Making this copycat Olive Garden salad recipe is so easy!

Just toss all the veggies and croutons together in a large bowl until everything is evenly combined.

Then add the dressing to the salad to suit your tastes.

Toss it again and top it with freshly shredded Parmesan cheese.

Storing Leftovers

Like most salads, this is best served the day you make it.

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a day or two, but keep in mind the salad will loose its crispness.

  • Omit any of the veggies you dislike but keep in mind this does change the flavor.
  • The variety of tomatoes is important. Beefsteak or regular garden tomatoes will be too wet and fleshy for this salad. 
  • Use as much or as little salad dressing and cheese as you like.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups chopped iceberg lettuce can also use a blend of iceberg and romaine
  • 2 roma tomatoes thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced red onion
  • 1 cup whole pepperoncini peppers
  • 1/2 cup whole black olives
  • 1 cup croutons
  • olive garden salad dressing
  • 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese fresh is recommended, if possible

Instructions

  • Add the lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pepper, olives, and croutons to a large mixing bowl. Gently toss everything together until evenly combined.
    6 cups chopped iceberg lettuce, 2 roma tomatoes, 1/2 cup thinly sliced red onion, 1 cup whole pepperoncini peppers, 1/2 cup whole black olives, 1 cup croutons
  • Add dressing to the salad, to taste, then gently toss again until evenly combined. Top the salad with Parmesan cheese.
