It has all the flavors of Cool Ranch Doritos but only needs 4 ingredients and barely any time at all to put together.

Plus, you can use the chicken in so many dishes and meals so everyone is happy.

If that’s not magic I don’t know what is!

Ingredients

To make this you’ll need:

  • Chicken– Large, boneless, skinless chicken breasts.
  • Ranch dressing mix– Your favorite premade kind.
  • Taco seasoning– Again your favorite brand.
  • Chicken broth

How to Make

This cool ranch chicken is so easy to make thanks to your slow cooker!

To do it, just trim any excess fat off the chicken and pat the breasts dry with paper towels.

Add the prepared chicken to the bowl of your slower cooker and pour the broth around the chicken.

Then season the chicken evenly with the ranch and taco seasonings.

Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or high for 3-3.5 hours.

Serve and enjoy!

Storing Leftovers

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Reheat in the microwave or in the slow cooker until warmed through.

Can I freeze this?

Yes!

To freeze, shred the chicken and let it cool completely.

Transfer it to ziplocking freezer bags and freeze for up to 3 months.

Thaw overnight in the fridge prior to heating and enjoying.

What is Cool Ranch seasoning made of?

The exact ingredients vary slightly by brand but most Cool Ranch blends include:

  • dill
  • chives
  • garlic
  • basil
  • white pepper
  • parsley
  • sour cream powder
  • blue cheese powder

Ingredients

  • 4 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (1 1/2 - 2 lbs)
  • 2 1/2 tbsp ranch dressing mix
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  • Trim the chicken breasts of any fat, then pat dry with paper towels. Add the chicken to the bowl of your slow cooker.
    4 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Pour the broth around the chicken and then sprinkle the seasonings evenly out overtop of the meat.
    2 1/2 tbsp ranch dressing mix, 1/2 cup chicken broth, 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 5-6 hours, or HIGH for 3- 3 1/2 hours.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
