Slow cooker spinach artichoke dip is an easy crockpot dip that creates a restaurant quality appetizer. This creamy, cheesy dish needs almost no prep and will be a hit whenever you serve it!
One of our favorite appetizers to order when we go out to eat is spinach and artichoke dip.
It’s so good and it always disappears so fast.
Fortunately this dip is so easy to make at home that we can throw it in the slow cooker for any party or any time really.
The prep is super simple and quick and your crock pot does all the work to make this delicious creamy dip.
Ingredients
To make this you’ll need:
- Spinach– I use fresh baby spinach and chop it by cutting it a few times with kitchen sheers.
- Artichokes– A drained can of marinated artichokes.
- Cream cheese– Full fat cut into cubes.
- Sour cream– Full fat is best
- Cheese– Shredded mozzarella and shredded Parmesan cheese
- Seasoning– Minced garlic, salt and pepper
How to Make
To make this, start by lightly spraying the inside of your crock with non stick cooking spray.
Then, add all of the ingredients to the bowl.
Put the lid on the slow cooker and cook on high for 2 hours, stirring at the one hour mark.
At 2 hours, stir again, and season the dip with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve warm and enjoy.

- toasted pieces of baguettes
- buttery crackers
Can you save leftover spinach artichoke dip?
Yes!
You can store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze it in a freezer safe bag for up to 3 months.
What Can I Do With Leftover Dip?
Wondering what to do with the saved leftovers? You can easily repurpose extra spinach & artichoke dip!
Leftover dip can be heated until softened and warm, then stirred into cooked pasta or used as a sauce on pizza crust.
You can also add chicken to either, turning it into a completely new dinner.
Hot spinach and artichoke dip also pairs perfectly as a topping for cooked salmon filets or even grilled chicken.
Tips and Tricks
- Make chopping the spinach and artichokes easy by adding them to the sprayed bowl of your crock pot and cutting them with kitchen sheers. This way there’s no extra mess or dishes.
- You can also do the same thing with the cream cheese. Just add it to crockpot, then use the kitchen sheers to cut it into rough cubes.
- Spice things up a bit. Red pepper flakes or hot sauce both make tasty additions, even a dash of Worcestershire sauce is delicious.
- Want to serve a heartier dip? Add some chopped crab dip. It’s scrumptious. It doesn’t have to be the most expensive kind either since the crab isn’t the star of the show here.
