2 lbs lean ground beef, 1 16 oz jar mild restaurant style salsa, 2 1.25 oz pkts taco seasoning
Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 1/2 - 3 hours, or on LOW for 4 1/2 hours.
Stir everything together, but be careful of steam, and break the meat up into the smallest pieces possible.
Using a slotted spoon, scoop the meat into taco shells. Serve & enjoy!
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken if you prefer.
- While we use the packets of taco seasoning, you could use 4-5 tablespoons of homemade taco seasoning.
- Definitely use a slotted spoon to scoop the meat out of the slow cooker. It will have more moisture than stove top taco meat, and the slotted spoon will allow some of the excess to drain away.
