Crispy Air Fryer Fish Sticks

Air fryer fish sticks are a quick and easy way to make the classic breaded dish. Crispy and delicious, you won't believe they aren't deep fried!

Ingredients

  • ½ lb cod or other white fish cut into thumb sized strips
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon mayo
  • 1 cup panko
  • 1 tablespoon italian seasoning
  • Lemon wedges fresh parsley, tartar sauce for serving (optional)

Instructions

  • Gather three bowls; in the first mix together flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper; in the second bowl whisk together egg and mayo, and in the third bowl stir together panko and italian seasoning
  • Working with one piece of fish at time, coat in flour mixture, followed by egg mixture, followed by panko mixture until all pieces are breaded
  • Preheat air fryer to 400F, and cook fish stick for 8 minutes, flipping once halfway through
  • Serve warm with lemon wedges, fresh parsley, and tartar sauce if desired

Notes

  • Make sure that they aren't touching when you place the fish sticks in the basket of your air fryer.
  • Adjust the seasoning to suit your tastes.
  • Cut the fish into equal sized pieces so they cook evenly.
