Crispy Air Fryer Fish Sticks

- ½ lb cod or other white fish cut into thumb sized strips
- ¼ cup flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon mayo
- 1 cup panko
- 1 tablespoon italian seasoning
- Lemon wedges fresh parsley, tartar sauce for serving (optional)
Gather three bowls; in the first mix together flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper; in the second bowl whisk together egg and mayo, and in the third bowl stir together panko and italian seasoning
Working with one piece of fish at time, coat in flour mixture, followed by egg mixture, followed by panko mixture until all pieces are breaded
Preheat air fryer to 400F, and cook fish stick for 8 minutes, flipping once halfway through
Serve warm with lemon wedges, fresh parsley, and tartar sauce if desired
- Make sure that they aren't touching when you place the fish sticks in the basket of your air fryer.
- Adjust the seasoning to suit your tastes.
- Cut the fish into equal sized pieces so they cook evenly.
