Ingredients

For The Dressing

  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 2 tbsp worcestershire
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper

For The Salad

  • 1 head iceberg lettuce cored & roughly chopped
  • 8-10 slices deli Swiss thinly sliced (like linguini noodles)
  • 1/2 lb tavern cut ham thinly sliced (like linguini noodles)
  • 3/4 cup halved grape tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup green olives
  • 1/2 red onion thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley leaves washed
  • 5 oz croutons
  • 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Add all of the dressing ingredients to a small mixing bowl. Whisk together until evenly combined. Set aside.
  • Add all of the salad ingredients to a large mixing bowl. Toss gently until evenly combined.
  • Pour the dressing out overtop, and toss again- just until evenly combined.
  • Serve immediately, and enjoy!

Notes

  • The preparation instructions are important. The meat and cheese both get 'julienned', which is the perfect cut to ensure maximum flavor in every bite.
  • Don't skip the worcestershire sauce, which gives the salad dressing a nice zesty zing
  • Quality ingredients are important for this. Make sure you use freshly grated Parmesan cheese and not the kind in the can along with your favorite brand of Swiss cheese and ham.
