Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp hot sauce
  • 1/4 - 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 bunch green onions thinly sliced & divided
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded imitations crab meat

Instructions

  • Add the cream cheese, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and garlic to a large mixing bowl. Using a hand mixer, blend everything together until it's all evenly combined, creamy, & smooth.
8 oz cream cheese, 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 1 tsp worcestershire sauce, 2 tsp hot sauce, 1/4 - 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Add 1 tablespoon of onions, mozzarella, and crab meat to the bowl. Fold in, using a sturdy spatula, until evenly incorporated.
1 bunch green onions, 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, 1 cup shredded imitations crab meat
  • Scoop the mixture together into a large lump in the bottom of the bowl, then transfer the cheese ball lump to a large sheet of plastic wrap. Wrap it up tightly to completely enclose, then use your hands to shape it into a ball.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or up to overnight.
  • Spread the remaining onion out in an evenish layer on a large plate. Unwrap the chilled cheese ball and roll it in the onions to evenly coat- pressing in if/as needed.
  • Transfer the prepared crab cheese ball to a serving plate.
  • Serve with assorted crackers, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Let the cream cheese soften completely to room temperature prior to mixing the cheese ball base. Softening it helps it more easily incorporate.
  • Before serving, let the cheese ball sit on the counter for 10 minutes or so to soften up.
  • Make sure the plastic wrap tightly covers the cheese ball when you are shaping it.
