Crispy Baked Boursin Cheese

Crispy baked Boursin cheese is a delicious spread with a molten cheese center and crunchy exterior. Your guests will be wowed by this easy baked cheese appetizer!

Ingredients

  • 1 5.2 oz pkg boursin cheese any flavor
  • flour
  • panko bread crumbs only panko bread crumbs will work
  • 1 egg beaten
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Set out three small mixing bowls. To one add the flour, to another add the beaten egg, and to the third add the panko bread crumbs and salt & pepper.

  • Remove the cheese from it's packaging, then add it to the flour turning it to coat on all sides. Tap off any excess.
    1 5.2 oz pkg boursin cheese
  • Add the cheese to the egg, turning to coat completely. Let the excess drip off then add it to the panko mixture. Turn it to evenly coat on all sides, pressing in the coating in if needed. Transfer to a baking sheet.
  • Bake at 400° for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy outside.
  • Serve warm with your favorite dipping options.

Notes

  • While you may be tempted to freeze this first, there's no need. It will hold it's shape just fine when baked.
  • Can't use egg? Substitute heavy cream instead.
  • Make sure every layer completely coats all sides of the cheese.
  • For easy clean up, line the baking dish with foil and spray it with nonstick spray.
