Crispy Chicken Thighs (Air Fryer Recipe)

These crispy chicken thighs are an easy air fryer recipe that delivers big results with minimal effort. Only 4 ingredients and a few minutes and dinner is done!

Ingredients

  • 4 bone in, skin on chicken thighs roughly 2 lbs
  • 2 tbsp seasonings of your choice can also use barbecue rub
  • 1/8 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 cup extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  • Using paper towels, pat the chicken dry on all sides then add the chicken to a large ziplocking bag.

  • Add the worcestershire sauce and olive oil to the bag. Seal the bag and then squeeze or shake until the chicken's been evenly coated.
    1/8 cup worcestershire sauce, 1/8 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • Using tongs transfer the chicken thighs to the basket of your air fryer, skin side down. Whisk all of the seasonings together evenly, then sprinkle half evenly out over the chicken.
    2 tbsp seasonings of your choice
  • Cook at 375° for 12-15 minutes. Carefully flip the thighs over and then sprinkle the remaining seasoning blend evenly out overtop.
  • Continue cooking at 375° for another 12-15 minutes until cooked to temperature.
  • Serve the chicken warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure to pat the chicken dry with paper towels. This step is crucial for getting the crispiest skin.
  • While you must pat the chicken dry, you do NOT need to wash the chicken beforehand. In fact, it's not a great idea to wash poultry in general because washing it spreads all kinds of bacteria around your kitchen. Just make sure to cook your chicken all the way through and you will kill all the bacteria on it without spreading it through the kitchen.
  • Chicken thighs are done at 165 degrees. Check them for doneness by inserting a meat thermometer in the thickest part of the chicken.
