Filet-O-Fish Sliders

Filet-o-fish sliders are perfect for fans of the classic McDonald's sandwich.  These sliders feature breaded fish, homemade tarter sauce and buttery buns and come together with just 10 easy minutes of prep!

Ingredients

For The Sliders

  • 8-10 pieces breaded fish burger
  • 12 slider buns
  • tartar sauce recipe below
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 3 tbsp butter melted

For The Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 1/4 cup minced dill pickles
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh minced dill
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare fish burgers according to package instructions
    8-10 pieces breaded fish burger
  • Meanwhile prepare tartar sauce by mixing mayo, pickles, dill, lemon juice, mustard and salt and pepper; set aside
    1/2 cup mayo, 1/4 cup minced dill pickles, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp fresh minced dill, 1 tsp dijon mustard, Salt and pepper
  • Preheat oven to 400 F
  • Slice slider buns down the center, place the bottom half in a baking dish, then spread half the tartar sauce on the cut side of buns.
  • Arrange the cooked fish burgers along the bottom of the buns, then spread remaining tartar sauce on the top of the burgers

  • Arrange the cheese into an even layer along the top, then place top buns on top of the cheese, cut side down

  • Brush with the melted butter, then bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and the tops of the buns are golden brown

  • Slice into sandwiches and serve warm.

Notes

  • Make sure you are using a breaded fish patty or burger for the best results.
  • Avoid salmon burgers or patties in favor of white fish like cod, haddock, flounder, etc. Salmon has a different, stronger flavor than the mild fish flavor you want.
  • Don't want to make homemade tartar sauce? While I really recommend it, you can substitute your favorite brand if desired.
