Lucky Charms Treats

Lucky Charms treats are a fun take on cereal bars perfect for St. Patrick's Day. This no bake recipe is kid friendly and easy to make any time you want something magically delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter melted (1/2 cup)
  • 1 11.5 oz box Lucky Charms cereal
  • 1 bag mini marshmallows

Instructions

  • Lightly spray a 9x13" baking pan with non stick cooking spray, then line with parchment paper.
  • Add the butter to a large pot set over low heat. When completely melted add the marshmallows stirring until completely melted.

  • Remove the pot from heat and add the cereal, stirring until evenly coated with the marshmallows.
    1 11.5 oz box Lucky Charms cereal
  • Transfer the cereal mixture to the prepared pan and spread out in an even layer. Press it down gently, careful not to overpack it.
  • Let the lucky charms treats rest until completely cooled and mostly set.
  • Using the edges of the parchment paper remove the cereal slab from the pan and transfer to a cutting board.
  • Carefully cut into squares using a sharp knife, and serve.

Notes

  • You don't have to spray the pan with cooking spray but it really helps keep the parchment paper in place, especially when spreading the sticky cereal mixture out.
  • Be careful not to crush the cereal when stirring.
  • When pressing the cereal mixture into the baking dish, be careful not to pack it down too much. You want chewy cereal bars, not rock hard ones.
  • To make a copycat General Mill's Lucky Charms breakfast cereal treat bars, dip the bottoms of the set cereal bars in melted white chocolate.
