Ingredients

For The Burgers

  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 small yellow onion peeled & diced
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 1/2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 dashes hot sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ground oregano
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

For The Sauce

  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp yellow mustard

Instructions

  • Add all of the burger ingredients to a large mixing bowl. Using clean hands mix and mash everything together until evenly combined.
2 lbs lean ground beef, 1 small yellow onion, 1 tbsp minced garlic, 2 1/2 tbsp worcestershire sauce, 1 large egg, 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs, 1/4 cup ketchup, 2 dashes hot sauce, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp ground oregano, 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Divide the mixture out into 8 equal sized balls, then flatten them into patties, and arrange them on a wire rack set overtop a large rimmed baking sheet.
  • Add the sauce ingredients to a small bowl and whisk them together until evenly combined. Spread the sauce evenly out overtop of the burger patties.
1/2 cup ketchup, 1/2 cup barbecue sauce, 1 1/2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • Bake at 400° for 30-35 minutes, just until fully cooked through.
  • Transfer the cooked burgers to hamburger buns, and serve with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • You can adjust the seasoning to suit your tastes.
  • Make your clean up a breeze and spread a sheet of tin foil on the baking dish below the rack with the burgers on them. The foil will catch all the drips so you won't have to deal with baked on grease.
  • Serve these burgers with your favorite cheese. Cheddar, mozzarella, and jack would all be yummy choices.
