Preheat the oven to 350 F, grease and flour a 9x13 baking dish and set aside
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar baking powder and salt; set aside
2 ¼ cups flour, 1 ¾ cup sugar, 1 tablespoons baking powder, ½ teaspoon salt
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, oil, eggs and vanilla. Pour into the flour mixture and stir until just combined.
1 ¼ cups whole milk, ½ cup vegetable oil, 3 large eggs, 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Transfer the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Immediately poke holes on the surface of the cake with a skewer or handle or a wooden spoon.
