Red Velvet Dip
This quick and easy red velvet dip is a perfect dessert for Valentine's Day. It's simple to whip up since it uses boxed cake mix and sinfully sweet making it a perfect addition to any party or gathering. Serve it with a variety of dipping options for a delicious treat any crowd will enjoy!

- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 1 1/2 cups dry red velvet cake mix
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 packed tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp milk optional
- red food color optional
Add the cream cheese and butter to a mixing bowl. Using a hand mixer whip them together until smooth and fluffy.

Reduce the speed to low and add the cake mix, powdered sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and food coloring (if using). Continue mixing until evenly combined, smooth and without clumps.

If the cake mix is too thick, then mix the milk in a tablespoon at a time.

- I do not recommend trying to whip this dip together by hand. Instead use a stand mixer or a hand held mixer to get the perfect consistency.
- Use a brand of cake mix you know and trust for the best results.
- Don't like red velvet cake? Swap that cake mix flavor for another you prefer!
- For a festive touch, serve this dip topped with sprinkles on top. Mini chocolate chips also make a tasty topping!
