- 5 medium bananas peeled
- 1 packed cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup rum
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts for garnish
- shredded coconut for garnish, optional
- vanilla ice cream for serving, optional
Cut the peeled bananas in half lengthwise, then lay them (cut side down) in the bottom of your slow cooker.

To a small mixing bowl add the brown sugar, butter, rum, extract, and cinnamon. Whisk together until evenly combined, then pour this mixture evenly out over the bananas.

Cover and cook on LOW heat for 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
