Southern Fried Pickle Dip

Southern fried pickle dip combines creamy ranch dip with the flavors of deeps fried pickles. It's perfect for parties, tailgating, game day snacking, and more!

Ingredients

For The 'Fried' Breading Topping

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup unseasoned panko bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp old bay seasoning

For The Fried Pickle Dip

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 8 oz block cream cheese softened
  • 1 pkt ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 tbsp dill pickle juice
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup diced dill pickles
  • 1 tsp dried dill

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium high heat. Add the breadcrumbs and old bay to the skillet, tossing to evenly combine. Cook, stirring continuously, until the bread crumbs are golden brown. Remove the skillet from heat, set aside, and let them cool completely.

  • To a small mixing bowl add the sour cream, cream cheese, ranch seasoning, and juices. Using a hand mixer blend them together until smooth & creamy. Add the pickles and dill to the mixture, stirring to evenly combine.

  • Transfer the finished dip to a serving dish, spreading out in an even layer. Top with the cooled bread crumbs.
  • Serve with chips and/or crackers, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure you are using plain panko breadcrumbs since you are seasoning them with Old Bay.
  • It helps to let the cream cheese sit out on the counter for half an hour or so before making the dip.
  • You can make this dip ahead of time if you prefer! It holds up pretty well as long as you keep it chilled.
