The Best Homemade Guacamole

- 3 ripe avocados
- 1/2 small yellow onion peeled & finely diced
- 2 roma tomatoes finely diced, seeds discarded
- 1 jalapeno seeded & finely diced (optional)
- 2 garlic cloves finely minced
- 3 tbsp finely chopped fresh cilantro leaves
- 1 lime juiced
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
Halve the avocados, remove the pits, and scoop out the flesh transferring it to a small mixing bowl. Using a fork smash the avocado until smooth and creamy.
3 ripe avocados
Add the remaining ingredients to the mixing bowl and stir until everything's evenly combined. Taste and adjust the salt if needed.

- If you're avocados are on the smaller side, you may need to use more for the proper ratio.
- I recommend using fresh lime juice for the best flavor, but bottled will do in a pinch.
- While I recommend mashing the avocadoes until they are smooth, you can mash them less for a chunkier guacamole.
