- 1 18 ounce box brownie mix with ingredients to make brownies
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
Bake brownies according to package instructions. Cool completely. Cut into small squares.
1 18 ounce box brownie mix with ingredients to make brownies
In a cold mixing bowl, whisk the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
1 ½ cups heavy cream, ¼ cup powdered sugar
Press cubes of brownie into the bottom of the jars. On top of the brownies, sprinkle the pecans and drizzle with about 2 teaspoons of caramel sauce. Add a spoonful of the the whipped cream. Then, repeat the layers.
1 cup chopped pecans, 1 cup caramel sauce
Refrigerate until ready to serve. Garnish with additional pecans, caramel, and/or mini chocolate chips if desired.
- Don't underbake the brownies. This isn't a situation you want to have underdone or overly fudgy brownies.
- Make sure the brownies are completely cool when you cut them. If they are warm when you layer them with the whipped cream, the whipped cream will melt.
- While homemade whipped cream is absolutely the best, you could use store bought whipped topping. If you do that, I would go for Cool Whip or another stabilized whipped cream over the whipped cream in a can.
