I love my air fryer.

It is the perfect way to make lightened up versions of your favorite deep fried foods like tortilla chips.

Most tortilla chips are fried in oil.

These are sprayed with nonstick spray for a lighter snack that will still satisfy your craving for salty foods.

And with only 3 ingredients and a quick prep, you can have them any time!

Ingredients

To make this you’ll need:

  • Tortillas– 5″ yellow corn tortillas. Don’t substitute another variety or the cook times and temperatures will be very different.
  • Tajin seasoning – You can find this near the Mexican foods in the grocery store. It’s a combination of chile and lime.
  • Nonstick cooking spray– Go for the olive oil or canola oil spray and avoid the butter flavored cooking sprays.

How to Make

Making air fryer tortilla chips is pretty easy.

Just cut each tortilla into quarters.

Then spray the tortilla triangles liberally with nonstick cooking spray and sprinkle them with tajin.

Add some of the seasoned, sprayed chips to the basket of your air fryer, making sure they are not overlapping.

Air fry the chips at 380 for 3 minutes.

After 3 minutes, carefully use a pair of tongs to flip the hot chips over and spray them again with cooking spray.

Air fry them for 2 more minutes.

Carefully remove the chips from the air fryer and let them cool.

Repeat in batches until you have made all the chips.

Serve and enjoy!

Storing

Let the chips cool completely and then store them in an airtight container or large ziplocking bag on the counter for up to 5 days.

Do not put these chips in the fridge or they will get soggy.

Tips and Tricks

  • Don’t overcook them. The chips will crisp up as they cool.
  • The amount of chips you can fit in your air fryer will vary based on the size of the air fryer. Don’t overlap the chips or overcrowd the air fryer.
  • You can swap your preferred seasonings for the tajin.
