This fall fluff salad is so easy to make!
Start by whipping the softened cream cheese, apple pie spice, and vanilla extract together in a large bowl with a hand mixer until smooth and creamy.
Then, gently fold in the apple pie filling, broken up apple chips, and thawed Cool Whip.
Set it aside.
Then, unroll the crust into a pie plate and brush the melted butter evenly out all over your prepared pie crust.
Bake it according to the package directions.
Set the crust aside, and allow it to cool completely.
Break the completely cooled pie crust to crumble it, add the pie crust crumbles to the mixing bowl and fold in to evenly incorporate.
Serve and enjoy!
How to Make Apple Pie Spice
Don’t have any premade apple pie spice on hand?
Stir together 1.5 tablespoons of ground nutmeg with 1.5 tablespoons of ground cinnamon and 1 tablespoon of all spice.
Mix together to evenly combine.
Extra can be store in an air tight jar in the spice cabinet.
Storing
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
Tips and Tricks
- Don’t dump your apple pie filling onto a cutting board to chop it, instead use a pair of kitchen sheers and cut into the filling while it’s still in the can to keep all the pie filling liquid.
- For a cuter presentation, you can serve this fluff salad in a baked pie crust.
- Short cut it by skipping the pie crust and substituting crumbled Nilla wafers or graham crackers instead.
