We use breaded chicken tenders a lot in our house.

Our boys love them and they are so easy to turn into a complete meal or turn into yummy wraps and sandwiches like Southern Bird Dog Sandwiches or California Club Chicken Wraps.

Honestly turning them into air fryer chicken parmesan sandwiches seems like a no brainer, and I can’t believe I’ve never done it and shared it before!

To make this you’ll need:

  • Chicken tenders– Leftover breaded chicken tenders are perfect for this
  • Butter– Melted
  • Garlic powder– To sprinkle on the rolls
  • Ciabatta rolls– Cut in half
  • Marinara sauce– If you have homemade marinara in your fridge use that otherwise jarred is fine!

Storing Leftovers

I don’t recommend saving leftovers as the sandwiches will get soggy.

Tips and Tricks

  • You can use any sturdy bakery style roll if you can’t find ciabatta.
  • While the recipe calls for leftover breaded chicken tenders, you could use frozen chicken tenders. If you use frozen tenders, cook them according to the instructions on the package or air fry them at 380 degrees for 11 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • I recommend provolone for flavor but any sliced Italian cheese will work.
