Cranberry fluff pie takes the classic Thanksgiving side dish and combines it with the popular Midwestern fluff salad. The whole thing gets put into a pie crust for a festive side dish or dessert for any holiday table!
In some houses, salad doesn’t mean greens and veggies tossed together with a dressing.
Nope.
Instead it means a fruit mixed with whipped cream cheese fluff.
It’s sort of a combination side dish and dessert and I am here for it.
Especially when it has a festive holiday spin and is in a pie crust.
And that’s exactly what this cranberry fluff salad is.
It’s got whole berry cranberry sauce folded into a fluffy cream cheese filling.
The filling sits on top of a sweet, crispy graham cracker crust.
It’s the dish you’ll want to bring to every Friendsgiving or Thanksgiving gathering this year!
Ingredients
Let’s break this down into a set of ingredients for the crust and one for the filling.
For the crust you’ll need:
- Graham cracker crumbs– Save yourself some time and get the premade crumbs.
- Sugar– Granulated.
- Butter– Melted
And for the filling you’ll need:
- Cream cheese– Let it soften on the counter first prior making the filling
- Sugar– Powdered
- Cranberry sauce– Whole berry
- Vanilla extract– Real vanilla is best
- Orange zest
- Whipped topping– The kind you find in the freezer section like Cool Whip. Let it thaw.
- Food coloring– Pink. Totally optional.
How to Make
Cranberry fluff pie is so easy to make!
Start by stirring together the graham crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter until the mixture resembles wet sand in a large mixing bowl.
Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9” pie plate.
Chill the crust in the refrigerator while you make the filling.
To make the filling, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth using an electric mixer in a separate large bowl.
Stir in the cranberry sauce, vanilla, and orange zest.
If you are using the food coloring, mix it in now.
Then fold in the whipped topping.
Scoop the cranberry fluff into the prepared pie shell and smooth the top.
Chill for at least 4 hours before serving.
Enjoy!
Storing Leftovers
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
Can I make this ahead of time?
Yes!
Part of the beauty of cranberry fluff pie is that you can make it ahead of time.
I often make this a day ahead of time and just leave it in the fridge covered until it is time to serve it.
Tips and Tricks
