Easy Easter bunny brownies are a fun and effortless way to dress up box brownie mix for the springtime holiday. The result is a family friendly dessert that looks special but was so quick to throw together!
When it comes to holidays and special occasions, I like things to feel a bit extra without having to put in a ton of extra work.
I guess I subscribe to the semi-homemade way of thinking.
You know, cut corners where I can.
It frees my time up to do those little finishing touches that make things seem extra special.
These easy Easter bunny brownies are a great example of that.
Boxed brownie mix and some chocolate bunnies make for a lovely dessert with little extra effort.
And you can even get the kiddos involved with this easy recipe and have them place the bunnies on the brownies.
Ingredients
To make this you’ll need:
- Brownie mix– Use your favorite fudge brownie mix and grab the ingredients called for on the package.
- Milk chocolate bunnies– I highly recommend Ghirardelli milk chocolate caramel bunnies. They are perfect for this, really cute, and yummy! Unwrap them.
How to Make
These bunny brownies could not be easier to make!
Just make the brownie batter according to the directions on the package.
Spread the batter out into an 11×7″ brownie pan you’ve sprayed with nonstick spray.
Then bake the brownies according to the directions on the package.
When the brownies are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for 5 minutes.
Imagining where you will slice the brownies into 9 pieces, place the unwrapped chocolate bunnies on top so each bunny would be centered in a slice.
Gently press the bunnies down.
Let the brownies finish cooling.
Slice, serve, and enjoy!
Storing Leftovers
Store leftover brownies in an airtight container on the counter for up to 3 days.
Tips and Tricks
- I recommend fudge brownie mix but you can use any brownie mix variety you like.
- Make sure the brownies aren’t underbaked. While delicious, the brownies will collapse under the bunnies if not baked fully.
- You could really substitute any chocolate candy on top of these brownies. I happen to like the Ghirardelli bunnies because they are good quality, adorable, and the perfect size for a brownie topper.
