How To Make Witch Hat Cookies
Begin making these easy Witch Hat Cookies by arranging a dozen (12) fudge covered cookies in two rows on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
The parchment paper is optional, but it makes for easier cleanup since it can be tossed and the pan just put away.
Melt a half cup of candy melts in a microwave safe bowl, according to the directions on the packaging.
Add 3-5 drops of your chosen food coloring to the melted white chocolate, stirring together until evenly combined.
Unwrap the Hershey kisses, then working with one at a time dip the base of the chocolate into the melted chocolate.
Immediately add the candy to the center of the cookie, chocolate down since it will act as a glue when it hardens. Repeat for all the remaining cookies.
Press a yellow candy into the center of each so that it looks like a buckle and sticks to the melted chocolate.
Let the chocolate harden, then you’re ready to serve these easy Halloween cookies and enjoy!
Storing
These cookies can be stored in an airtight container, at room temperature, for up to a week.
TIPS & TRICKS
- For easier clean up, line the baking sheet with some parchment paper before assembling the cookies.
- Melt the chocolate in intervals, stirring in between each, just until melted and smooth. Over cooking will take it from melted to crusty and ruined very quickly.
- Don’t want to mess with melting chocolate? Use a tub of frosting instead!
