Quick And Easy Tuna Melts (Air Fryer Recipe)

Ingredients

To make this you’ll need:

  • Tuna– 2 7 ounce drained cans of tuna. Flake it apart.
  • Celery– Diced
  • Spices– Dried dill and garlic powder
  • Mayonnaise– Real mayonnaise
  • Cheese– Sliced Havarti but you can use any sliced cheese you have on hand.
  • Sandwich bread

How to Make

Air fryer tuna melts are so quick and easy to make!

Just mix the tuna, celery, dill, garlic powder, and mayo together in a bowl until it’s well combined.

Divide the tuna mixture over 4 slices of bread, spreading it out to cover the bread.

Put the open faced sandwiches in the basket of the air fryer.

Top each with a slice of cheese.

Air fry the tuna melts at 400 for 4 to 5 minutes.

Storing

I don’t recommend storing leftover tuna melts as they will get soggy in the fridge.

However, you can store leftover tuna salad in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Tips and Tricks

  • Do NOT shake or flip the sandwiches or the air fryer basket while cooking.
  • You can add other mixins to your tuna salad like chopped onions or lemon juice.
  • Feel free to customize these to your liking and use English muffin halves, your favorite sliced cheese or add other toppings like sliced tomato under the cheese.

Ingredients

  • 2 7 oz cans tuna well drained and flaked apart
  • 2 stalks celery diced
  • 1/2 - 3/4 tsp dried dill weed
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise + more, if needed
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder optional
  • 4 slices havarti cheese
  • 4 slices sandwich bread

Instructions

  • Add the tuna, celery, dill, mayo and garlic to a large mixing bowl. Whisk them together until evenly combined.
