What does a basketball player have to do with ramen noodles and what does that have to do with chicken alfredo?

Well, let me break it down for you.

The basketball great released his very own cookbook called “Shaq’s Family Style: Championship Recipes for Feeding Family and Friends”.

His original recipe is a version of chicken broccoli alfredo.

It’s totally delicious but has a long list of ingredients.

This recipe shortens it to just a couple but still gives you all that yummy flavor in an effortless way to eat grown up ramen.

Ingredients

To make this you’ll need:

  • Water
  • Ramen– Use 1 to 2 packets of Shin black ramen and the accompanying seasoning packet.
  • Condensed soup– Cream of mushroom but you could use pretty much any cream of vegetable that you have on hand.
  • Green onions– Thinly sliced for garnish.

How to Make

This Shaq ramen noodle hack gives you all of the great flavor of his original version in a quicker to make recipe.

To make it, whisk the water and soup together in a pot to evenly combine them.

Then stir the ramen noodles and the seasoning into the pot and cook them according to the instructions on the package.

Serve warm and top with sliced green onions if desire.

Storing Leftovers

I recommend only making as much of this as you plan to eat that day.

The noodles will soak up the liquid if they sit in the fridge too long.

However, if you do have leftovers you can store them in an airtight container in the fridge and add a little extra water when you microwave them to reheat.
