Ingredients
To make this you’ll need:
- Olive oil– To sear the pork in
- Pork chops– Boneless pork chops
- Apples– Granny Smiths or another firm tart apple. Core and slice them. You don’t have to peel them if you don’t want to.
- Lemon juice– To prevent the apples browning and tenderize the meat
- Sugar– Brown
- Spices– Ground cinnamon, salt, pepper, dried thyme and dried oregano
How to Make
Making this slow cooker pork chops and apples recipe is easy.
Just season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper and set the seasoned chops aside.
Then heat a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat.
Once the skillet is hot, add the oil to the pan, swirling the pan so the oil coats the bottom of the pan.
Then add the pork chops to the skillet and sear them for 30-45 seconds on each side.
Remove the skillet from heat and set it aside.
Next, toss the apples and lemon juice together so the apples are coated.
