Southern fried pickle dip combines creamy ranch dip with the flavors of deeps fried pickles. It’s perfect for parties, tailgating, game day snacking, and more!
Look, we all have our vices, ok?
Mine is definitely pickles.
I’m not even remotely ashamed.
And I love pickles that much more if they are deep fried and/or somehow combined with ranch.
Friends, that’s exactly what this dip is.
Southern fried pickle dip has deep fried pickle flavor thanks to the buttery breadcrumb topping and so much creamy ranch flavor.
Ingredients
To make this you’ll need:
- Breading topping– Butter, panko breadcrumbs, and Old Bay Seasoning
- Sour cream– Full fat is best
- Cream cheese– Softened
- Ranch seasoning– A full packet of seasoning mix
- Dill pickle juice– Yes, a tablespoon of the liquid in the pickle jar!
- Lemon juice– Fresh or bottled
- Dill pickles– Dice them up
- Dill– Dried
How to Make
To make southern fried pickle dip, start by melting the butter in a small skillet over medium high heat.
Once the butter has melted, add the breadcrumbs to the skillet and toss it with the Old Bay seasoning.
Cook, stirring continuously, until the bread crumbs are golden brown.
Once the breadcrumbs are golden, remove the skillet from heat and let them cool completely.
While the breadcrumbs cool, mix together the sour cream, cream cheese, ranch seasoning, and juices in a small mixing bowl with a hand mixer until everything is combined and creamy.
Stir the pickles and dill into the mixture.
Spread the dip out in an even layer in a serving dish.
Top it with the cooled bread crumbs.
Serve with your favorite dippers and enjoy!
