Uncrustables French Toast
Uncrustables French toast is the hack you didn’t know you needed to make effortless stuffed French toast any time! You can put a real treat on the breakfast table in just a couple minutes with this simple recipe.
Stuffed French toast sounds fancy and complicated doesn’t it?
Well, thanks to Uncrustables, the popular premade pb and j sandwiches, it doesn’t have to be.
This recipe for Uncustable French toast can be on the table as fast as regular French toast but feels a million times more decadent and fun.
And you only need a couple ingredients and a few minutes before this breakfast treat is ready!
Ingredients
To make this you’ll need:
- Uncrustables– Any of the sweet flavors like peanut butter and jelly, peanut butter and honey, or chocolate hazelnut.
- Milk– Whole is best
- Eggs
- Vanilla– Use real vanilla if you have it
- Ground cinnamon
How to Make
Making Uncrustables French toast is so easy!
To do it, whisk the milk, eggs, vanilla and cinnamon together in a mixing bowl.
Pour the egg mixture into a shallow pie plate.
Dip a thawed Uncrustable into the egg mixture, flipping it over to coat both sides.
Repeat this with all of the Uncrustables.
Then brown a coated Uncrustable in a large skillet you’ve sprayed liberally with nonstick spray over medium heat.
Flip the Uncrustable over after the first side has browned, roughly 3 to 4 minutes, and keep cooking it until the second side browns.
Repeat this until you’ve cooked all the coated Uncrustables.
Transfer them to a serving plate.
Serve with powdered sugar sprinkled on top and syrup for dipping.
Enjoy!
Storing Leftovers
These are best enjoyed right after you make them but if you do have leftovers store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Reheat them on the stove or in a hot oven until warmed through.
I don’t recommend microwaving them to reheat them as they will be sort of soggy and sad.
Tips and Tricks
- Make sure the Uncrustables have thawed first or they won’t absorb the batter.
- You can use melted butter in place of cooking spray if that’s preferable.
- Don’t cook them over too high heat. You don’t want them to burn on the outside but not cook through.
