Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp dried minced onion
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • pinch garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried parsley

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients to a small mixing bowl and whisk together until evenly combined. Taste and adjust the seasonings, if needed.
1 cup sour cream, 1 tbsp dried minced onion, 1 tsp onion powder, pinch garlic powder, 1/4 tsp salt, 1 tsp dried parsley
  • Cover and chill for 1-2 hours.
  • Serve & enjoy!

Notes

  • I recommend making this dip at least an hour ahead of time so it can chill. The chill time lets the dried onion soften and the flavors marry and meld.
  • This is different than the french onion dip that's made with a packet of french onion soup mix or caramelized onions. You don't need a soup packet or to cut up and caramelize onions for this.
  • As the dip sits, the sour cream may separate, making the dip a little watery. Don't worry! This is normal. Just give it a good stir to bring it back together.
