Mason Jar Ice Cream

Mason jar ice cream uses pudding mix to make a fun, super creamy dessert with just a few ingredients. Get the kids involved and shake up a good time and sweet frozen treat this summer!

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 tablespoons butterscotch pudding mix
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 ¼ cups heavy cream

Instructions

  • To the bottom of 3 10-z jars, add 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons of one of the pudding mixes, a pinch of salt
  • Add ¾ cup heavy cream to each jar, then stir to combine.
  • Screw the lids on and shake until thickened.
  • Place in the freezer for 3 hours, shaking at the one and two hour mark. Serve when it reaches the consistency of soft serve ice cream.

Notes

  • You can adjust this recipe up or down to serve more people or fewer people easily. To make 1 jar, you only need 1 tablespoon of sugar, 2 tablespoons of your preferred pudding mix, a pinch of salt, and 3/4 cup of heavy cream.
  • Use any flavor instant pudding you like.
  • Make sure you shake it each hour to keep it the right texture.
