Of course, we must serve up themed treats like Grinch Fudge, Grinch Cookies, Boozy Grinch Milkshakes, and Christmas Grinch Punch.
And these Grinch truffles certainly fit the bill!
They are super cute and definitely tasty.
Even the Grinch himself wouldn’t be able to resist these!
Ingredients
To make these you’ll need:
- Oreos– Golden Double Stuffed Oreos though you can substitute regular Oreos, Ginger Snaps, Nilla Wafers or Biscoff cookies if you prefer.
- Cream cheese– Full fat cream cheese softened to room temperature.
- Candy melts– Dark green candy melts
- Sprinkles– Large red ones for decoration
How to Make
Grinch truffles are an easy sweet to make that require no baking and limited heating!
To make them, line a clean surface with parchment paper and put a sheet of parchment on a plate or cutting board that will fit in your fridge.
Using a food processor, grind the Oreos into a fine crumb.
Put the crumbs in a medium bowl and mix them will with the softened cream cheese.
Scoop out a heaping tablespoon’s worth of the dough and roll into a round ball.
Set the ball on the parchment paper and repeat until all the dough is used up.
Chill the rolled dough in the fridge for about 20 minutes or so until the dough firms.
Melt the green candy melts in a microwave safe bowl in the microwave in 30 second increments.
Stir the candy well between each interval.
Repeat this until the candy is smooth.
Using a spoon, dip a chilled dough ball in the melted candy to coat it.
Scoop out the ball and tap off the excess candy against the side of the bowl.
Put the truffle ball onto the parchment again and use the tip of the spoon to cover up any areas that appear thin or where the spoon left an indent.
Repeat with the remaining dough balls.
Once all the truffles have been dipped, transfer the remaining candy melt to a piping bag.
Cut off a small hole in the end and quickly drizzle over the top of the truffles.
Place a single large red heart sprinkle on top of each truffle.
Let the candy set and then serve and enjoy!
Storing
Store these Grinch truffles in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or freeze them in a freezer safe bag for up to 3 months.

- Chocolate and candy melts can scorch easily. Make sure you do not over cook them.
- Candy melts set quickly especially on chilled dough. Work quickly and in small batches to ensure time to place the sprinkles before it sets up.
