You won’t believe how easy it is to make bang bang shrimp in your air fryer!
To start, set up your breading station and add the beaten eggs, cornstarch, and breadcrumbs to three separate bowls.
Then, toss the shrimp in the cornstarch to evenly coat them.
Shake off excess cornstarch and then dip the coated shrimp in the beaten eggs, gently shaking off the excess.
Finally toss the shrimp with the breadcrumbs to coat them, pressing them into the breadcrumbs, if needed.
Once your shrimp are breaded, lightly spray your air fryer basket with non stick spray and add the breaded shrimp to it in a single layer.
Spritz all the shrimp with non stick spray.
Air fry the shrimp for five minutes at 350°.
After five minutes, carefully flip the hot shrimp over, spray them again, and air fry them for another two more minutes at the same temperature.
While the shrimp are cooking, whisk together the sauce ingredients in a large mixing bowl until the sauce is smooth.
Toss the cooked shrimp with the sauce until evenly combined.

Storing Leftovers
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
Reheat in the air fryer for best results.
Tips and Tricks
- Don’t overcrowd the prep bowls when breading the shrimp. I tend to work with 4-5 at a time to make it more manageable and to make sure everything’s evenly coated.
- Do NOT overcrowd the shrimp in the air fryer. An air fryer works on the principle of super hot air circulating around the cooking food. Overcrowding can result in the shrimp not cooking properly or crisping up to the desired results. You can cook them in more than a single batch, if needed, to prevent this.
- If you find you have leftovers, you may want to make more sauce before serving them.
