How to Make

Garlic butter baked chicken breasts are so easy to make!

Start by preheating the oven to 400°.

Season the chicken liberally with salt, pepper, and some smoked paprika on both sides.

Set the chicken aside while you heat the olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium high heat.

While the oil’s heating, whisk the butter, Italian seasoning, parsley, and garlic together in a small bowl until evenly combined.

Set the seasoned melted butter aside.

Then, put sear the chicken breasts in the hot oil, bottom side down, for 1-2 minutes.

After about 2 minutes or when you can easily lift the chicken off the skillet with tongs or a spatula, flip the chicken over and sear the other side for the same amount of time just until it us golden brown.

At this point, remove the skillet from heat and spoon the garlic butter sauce evenly out overtop of the chicken.

Bake the chicken for 20-25 minutes or until it reaches 165° in the thickest part of the breast.

Carefully remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.

Spoon the garlic butter back over the chicken, then serve, and enjoy!

We like to mix and match a starch like rice, pasta, or potatoes and a veggie to make a complete meal.

And of course, we love to sprinkle a little Parmesan cheese on top!

Storing Leftovers

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 4 days.

Reheat in a hot oven until warmed through, adding more melted butter if necessary for added moisture.
