Ingredients

To make this you’ll need:

  • Mac and cheese– A 24 ounce box of original Velveeta shells and cheese. You can use other mac and cheese varieties but you will need the ingredients listed on those packages as well.
  • Chicken– Chopped rotisserie chicken
  • Cheddar cheese– Shredded
  • Wing sauce– We use mild but adjust to suit your preferences.
  • Celery– Finely diced
  • Garnishes (optional)– Chopped chives and extra wing sauce

How to Make

Buffalo chicken mac and cheese from a box is so easy to make!

Just cook the macaroni according to the directions on the package.

Drain it and return it back to the pot.

Then, stir in all the cheese sauce, chicken, cheddar, wing sauce, and celery until everything is incorporated.

Heat it on low until the mixture is warm and the cheese has melted.

  • You can use other varieties of mac like Kraft. But keep in mind that they don’t use prepared cheese sauce so you’ll have to make the cheese sauce with the powdered cheese packet, milk, and butter. 
  • If you use another variety of mac, the sauce may not be quite as thick and creamy.
  • You can use other garnishes like blue cheese and ranch dressing.

Ingredients

  • 1 24 oz box original Velveeta shells and cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped rotisserie chicken
  • heaping 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 - 1/2 cup mild buffalo wing sauce
  • 1/2 cup finely diced celery
  • chopped chives for garnish, optional
  • extra wing sauce for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta per the package instructions. Drain and return to the pot.
