How To Make

Making chili cheese corn dog nugget nachos are incredibly easy!

Start by arranging the frozen corn dog nuggets on a baking sheet, and then cooking according to the package instructions.

While the nuggets are baking, you’ll want to start preparing the rest of the ingredients.

Add the chili to a small pot and heat over low heat, stirring often, just until heated through. Cover to keep warm, and set aside.

Add the cubed Velveeta cheese and milk to another small pot set over low heat. Stir often, just until the cheese has completely melted and combined with the milk into a smooth sauce.

Carefully remove the baked corn dog nuggets from the oven, and using a pair of tongs arrange them on a serving tray.

Spoon or pour the still warm chili evenly out overtop, followed by the prepared cheese sauce.

Serve immediately, with your favorite nacho toppings, and enjoy!

Storing

Unfortunately corn dog nugget nachos do not store well.

The chili and cheese will make the corn dog coating soggy if they sit for very long, even in the refrigerator, so plan to enjoy them all when fresh.

TIPS & TRICKS

  • You can make a smaller batch if needed, or a larger batch if feeding a crowd. Leftovers DO NOT store well at all. These need to be eaten fresh because within 20 minutes the corn dog nuggets will begin to turn soggy.
  • Be sure to constantly stir the Velveeta cheese when melting to prevent it from sticking or burning.
  • Makes a great kid friendly appetizer, and is perfect for movie nights & game day grub!
