We always have a big bag of frozen chicken nuggets in our freezer.

My kids, even though they are older, still eat them happily.

And what’s not to love?

They are tasty and convenient and make making chicken parmesan sliders a breeze!

To make these you’ll need:

  • Hawaiian rolls– The party size pack.
  • Chicken nuggets– Your favorite kind, cooked according to the package instructions.

  • Cheese– Sliced provolone or sliced deli style mozzarella.

How to Make

Making chicken nugget parmesan sliders is so easy!

To do it, cut the rolls in half with a serrated bread knife so you have a top and bottom layer.

Then put the bottom layer on a baking sheet you’ve sprayed with nonstick spray, making sure to keep the rolls together.

Set the top layer aside.

Next, spread sauce on the bottom bun layer so it evenly coats the buns.

Then put one nugget in the center of each sauce covered roll.

Layer on the cheese.

Then, put the top layer of rolls on to the sliders.

In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, garlic, and Italian seasoning.

Brush the butter mixture evenly out over top of the buns and onto the sides, using all of it.

Cover the baking sheet with foil, wrapping the sliders tightly.

Bake at 350 for 12 to 15 minutes.

Then uncover the sliders and bake for an additional 2 to 3 minutes or until the tops are golden and slightly toasted.

Remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.

Pull them apart and enjoy!

Storing leftovers

These are best served just after you make them.

If you have leftovers wrap them tightly with foil and then place the wrapped sliders into an airtight container in the fridge for 2 to 3 days.

Reheat in the oven.

Other Variations of Chicken Nugget Sliders

Not a chicken parm fan?

That’s ok.

You can still use this concept and use it to make:

  • cheddar barbecue chicken nugget sliders with cheddar cheese and barbecue sauce
  • mini chicken sandwiches with mayo, pickles, and cheese
  • buffalo chicken nugget sliders with your favorite hot sauce, ranch dressing, and cheese

Tips and Trick

  • Don’t skip cooking the nuggets before making the sliders.
  • You can cut the cooked sliders apart gently with a pairing knife if they don’t pull apart easily.
  • No need for homemade sauce. Use your favorite store brand or even leftovers.
