We love frozen pierogi and almost always have a bag or two of them in the freezer.

They are so good for snacks or to turn into a quick and easy meal.

I turn them into pierogi skillets and casseroles like this dump and go pierogi casserole all the time.

My family loves them and I do too because it’s quick and easy and keeps them full and happy!

Ingredients

To make this you’ll need:

  • Pierogi– Frozen cheese pierogi. Use your favorite brand.
  • Kielbasa– Turkey kielbasa but you can substitute pork kielbasa. Slice it into coins.
  • Frozen vegetables– 24 ounces of Normandy blend vegetables, thawed and drained.
  • Cream of soup– A can of cream of mushroom soup and a can of cream of celery soup. You can use all of one or the other or even substitute cream of broccoli or cream of chicken.

How to Make

This sausage pierogi casserole is so easy to make!

Just arrange the pierogi, kielbasa coins, and veggies in an even layer in a 9×13″ baking dish you’ve sprayed with nonstick spray.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soups, milk, a half cup of cheese, and the garlic and onion powders.

Pour this mixture evenly out over the casserole dish.

Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake it at 375 for 45 minutes.

After 45 minutes, uncover the casserole and top it with the remaining cheese.

Bake the casserole for another 15 minutes to let the cheese melt.

When the cheese has melted, remove the dish from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.

Serve and enjoy!

Tips and Tricks

  • Normandy blend veggies normally include broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots. Sometimes they may also include zucchini and yellow squash. If you aren’t a fan of this blend, substitute another veggie blend you like.
  • You can sub almost any kind of cream of soup you have on hand.
  • Using whole milk will give you better, creamier results than using a lower fat milk.
