  • Frozen meatballs– A 24 ounce package of your favorite frozen meatballs. If you want the most authentic marry me chicken taste, use chicken meatballs.
  • Garlic paste– You can find this is the produce section generally. If you can’t find this use chopped or pressed garlic, minced garlic, etc.
  • Sundried tomatoes– Chopped
  • Parmesan cheese– Grated
  • Seasoning– Italian seasoning, salt and pepper
  • Chicken broth– You could also use chicken stock
  • Half and half
  • Cornstarch and water– To thicken the sauce
  • Gnocchi– A package of dried gnocchi not frozen gnocchi as frozen gnocchi will be a bit gummier.
  • Spinach– Fresh baby spinach

How to Make

Slow cooker marry me meatballs with gnocchi is super easy to make!

Just stir together the meatballs, garlic, seasoning, and broth to the bowl of your slow cooker.

Put the lid on the slow cooker and cook for 2-3 hours on low.

After 2-3 hours, stir in the half and half, gnocchi, cheese, and sun dried tomatoes. 

Cover it and cook it on low for 20 more minutes.

Then whisk the cornstarch and water together to make a slurry.

Stir the slurry into the slow cooker and let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes.

Turn the slow cooker off and. finish by stirring in the spinach and letting everything rest for about 5 minutes to give the spinach a chance to wilt.

Storing Leftovers

Store leftovers in the fridge in the covered bowl of your slow cooker or in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

Keep in mind the longer the leftovers sit in the fridge the more the gnocchi will absorb the sauce and the thicker it will get.

Reheat in the slow cooker until warmed through or microwave individual portions until warm.

  • Don’t stir in the spinach before the end of the cooking process or it will over cook.
  • You can substitute tortellini for gnocchi, just cook it about ten extra minutes so the tortellini cooks through.

  • 1 24 oz pkg frozen meatballs
  • 1 1/2 tbsp garlic paste
