Nutella crescent rolls are an easy, decadent upgrade to canned dough. These chocolate pastries have only 3 ingredients and are a delicious treat for any morning.
Is there anything better than having chocolate for breakfast?
I can’t think of anything.
And neither can my boys.
They love it when I whip out this easy recipe and treat them to decadent, buttery Nutella stuffed crescent rolls.
These are the perfect treats for special mornings like the first day of school or even Christmas day, but they are easy enough to make any weekend or weekday.
Ingredients
To make these you’ll need:
- Crescent roll dough– Use the refrigerated kind that come in a tube.
- Nutella– I mean obviously, right?
- Toppings– You could finish the croissants with a chocolate sauce drizzle and sprinkle of powdered sugar, but this is totally optional.
How to Make
I promise that it is so easy to make these crescent rolls!
To do it, preheat the oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Set the baking sheet aside.
Pop open the tube of dough. If it doesn’t pop, after you’ve peeled back the wrapping just give it a gentle thump on the edge of your counter top.
Then unroll the crescents and spread each triangle with a generous amount of Nutella.
Now it’s time to roll the crescents up.
To do it, start with the wide ends and roll each triangle into crescent rolls.
Place the filled, rolled crescents on your parchment line baking sheet.
Bake the filled crescents for 10-12 minutes and then remove them from the oven to let them cool completely.
If desired, you can lightly dust the crescents with powdered sugar and then drizzle with chocolate syrup.
Serve with milk or coffee and enjoy!
Can I make Nutella crescents in the air fryer?
Yes!
To air fry them, follow the directions above but instead of putting the crescents place them in the basket of your air fryer.
Make sure to leave room between the crescents.
Air fry them for 5 to 7 minutes at 350 degrees.
Storing Leftovers
If these aren’t immediately devoured, you can store any leftovers in an air tight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Tips and Tricks
- These are amazing by themselves but pair really well with milk or coffee.
- You don’t have to but you can serve them with a little melted Nutella on the side for dipping.
